Sophisticated Entertainment Ltd are delighted to announce that we will be proudly producing Sleeping Beauty  The Pantomime in partnership with Everyone Active, as Brentwood’s Resident Pantomime for the Christmas 2026–2027 season.

Please note we will not be accepting self tapes for this casting, If you are unable to attend the audition we will not be able to consider you on this occasion. ​​

Please note we are looking for 2 x teams of 12 Young Company Cast to join us

Male & Female Performers 9 years - 17 years

IMPORTANT INFORMATION SHOULD YOUR CHILD BE SUCCESSFUL:

​

This contract will require a short period of absence from school. A Children’s Performing Licence must therefore be obtained through your local council. Sophisticated Entertainment will provide all necessary paperwork and guidance to ensure every child is fully licensed in accordance with government regulations. This will be mandatory for every successful Young Company Member. 

​

Each child must have a parent or guardian who holds an Enhanced DBS certificate and a chaperone licence. Sophisticated Entertainment will support families through this process to ensure every child has a designated, approved adult available for show rotation chaperone duties. You will not need to chaperone every show, this will be fairly shared out across the duration of performances & rehearsals. This will be mandatory for every successful Young Company Member.

Please do not attend the audition if you have any existing commitments or holidays scheduled during the dates listed above.
No pre-approved time off can be granted for commitments outside of this contract period.
If you accept a role and later notify us of missed rehearsals or performances, you will be withdrawn from the production.

​

Parents / Guardians will not be permitted to stay and watch the auditions, however The Brentwood Centre has a cafe area which you are welcome to wait in whilst we hold our Casting. 

​

Sophisticated Entertainment will have a team of fully licensed Chaperones at the Auditions to look after the wellness of the children throughout their time with us. 

You will need to sign your child in and out before and after the Audition. 

If your child arrives to the audition without a parent we will not be able to audition them

We will not be allowing any children to leave without a Parent / Guardian to collect them after the Audition.

What do I need to bring?

Correct dance shoes - Ballet shoe, Jazz shoes or trainers 

(Please bring Tap shoes if you have them - please do not buy these especially for the audition) 

We audition a short Tap combination for those who have this skill set, if you do not Tap (don't panic) 

​

A drink of Water with a lid that can be sealed. 

​

Comfortable clothing you can move in, you will be given a number to pin onto your clothing when you complete registration. 

​

You do not need to prepare anything, our Company Choreographer Miss Francessca Dunham will teach the children a few short choreography combinations and we might ask to see some corner work. The Children will not be asked to sing. 

​

This is an open audition you do not have to email or call to inform us of your attendance.

Dance Teachers / Stage Schools & Agents - If you are submitting multiple children from your schools / agencies please do let us know ahead of time.
